Summary

Founded in 1995, Arlene’s Grocery helped pioneer the music scene on New York’s Lower East Side by booking up-and-coming artists before anyone had heard of them. They host live music seven days a week as well as a variety of special events.

Arlene’s continues to look for great up-and-coming and established performers. They are interested in the following genres: Indie Rock, Rock, Singer/Songwriter, Punk, Pop Punk, Alternative, and Emo. Both local and touring bands with a local draw are welcome to submit. Arlene's will provide all bands with a full backline.

Past performers include The Strokes, David Gray, Joss Stone, Story of the Year, Space Hog, Dashboard Confessional, Vanessa Carlton and Jeff Buckley.
