The 29th annual Artscape will take place July 16 – 18, 2010.

Artscape is now accepting submissions for performance consideration. Artists/bands must live in one of the following areas to be considered: Maryland; Washington, DC; Delaware; Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax or Loudoun Virginia; and Adams, Chester, Franklin, Lancaster or York Pennsylvania.

Artists/bands living outside of the listed areas may contact the festival’s booking agent at Asst@24-7entertainment.com for consideration.

Please note that the field is extremely competitive; there are a large number of bands applying for less than 15 slots. If the committee is interested in booking your band, you will be contacted to explore the feasibility of a particular day and time. Compensation is offered, but details will be negotiated at the time of booking.

Because of the great interest, by local bands, in performing at Artscape, they have modified their local bands competition. All unaccepted music submissions will be entered in to the 3rd annual Sound Off! competition. From this pool, five artists/bands will be selected by a jury of music professionals to have their EPK posted on www.artscape.org.

Artscape music lovers and fans will vote for their favorite artist/band from June 1st to June 30th. The band that receives the most votes will perform at Artscape 2010, receive a $500 performance check, and get a backstage party for 20 fans.
