Asana Tea House is a new, locally-owned business located in the heart of busy Downtown Santa Cruz, CA. It’s an ideal venue for artists from out of the area to expose their music to locals, as well as UCSC students who come in to study and hang out with their friends./n/nAsana Tea House is a new, locally-owned business located in the heart of busy Downtown Santa Cruz, CA. It’s an ideal venue for artists from out of the area to expose their music to locals, as well as UCSC students who come in to study and hang out with their friends. Pay varies, but there is compensation available.



Asana has a very eclectic, open-minded atmosphere and welcomes music from all genres, including acoustic, folk, jazz, singer/songwriter, DJ, reggae, funk, classical, world, jam band and bluegrass. They prefer music that is softer on the ears as people come to study, sip tea and have conversation as well as listen to good music. Primarily, soloists, duets and trios are encouraged to apply. Occasionally they allow drumming, but for the most part, they do not book bands.



Backline is available for one vocalist and one instrument. If your set up is more specific or requires more than this, please bring any appropriate equipment.
