Don't miss your LAST CHANCE to submit to Athens Pop Fest, which is more than just a four-day rock festival. It's an annual meeting of similarly-minded individuals and friends that care about the state of independent pop music, are excited by new bands and sounds, and desire to make new friends and rekindle friendships made at past festivals. All artists will receive modest compensation for their performance and at least 7 Sonicbids bands will be selected./n/nThe Athens Pop Fest is more than just a four-day rock festival. It's an annual meeting of similarly-minded individuals and friends that care about the state of independent pop music, are excited by new bands and sounds, and desire to make new friends and rekindle friendships made at past festivals. All artists will receive modest compensation for their performance.
This year's festival will take place August 10-14, 2010. The venues include the world famous 40 Watt Club, Little Kings Shuffle Club and The Caledonia Lounge. This is a great opportunity to showcase your talent at a recognized music festival. Athens Pop Fest will select at least 7 bands using Sonicbids.
Past performers include Roky Erickson, Julian Koster/Music Tapes, Daniel Johnston, Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, Black Kids, Deerhoof, the Mountain Goats, Tullycraft, the Postmarks, Circulatory System, and Elekibass.
