Update: The date of the festival has been changed from the last week in June to Oct 31 - Nov 1, 2009. This is so Pride could return to its home venue: the beautiful Piedmont Park. However, artists who submit by the April 25 deadline will be considered for other TBA events sanctioned by Atlanta Pride around town on June 27 and 28, 2009. Artists who submit between April 26th and July 25th will be considered for the festival only. There is room for a variety of artists and performers; so all genres are encouraged to come forward.

This is a great opportunity for artists to showcase their talents and perform in front of a lively, broad-ranging audience. While there is only minimal compensation for performers, some consideration may be made for transportation or other items.

The main purpose of Atlanta Pride is to promote unity, visibility and self-esteem among lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender persons, and to promote a positive image in the Atlanta area and throughout the Southeastern United States through community activities and services.
