This is the LAST CHANCE to submit to The TD Canada Trust Atlantic Jazz Festival, Atlantic Canada's largest music festival. For 9 days each July they feature over 450 local, national and international performers. Music lovers from across the globe travel to Halifax, Nova Scotia to enjoy countless top-quality acts. Last year, the festival drew around 65,000 attendees./n/nThe TD Canada Trust Atlantic Jazz Festival is Atlantic Canada's largest music festival. For 9 days each July they feature over 450 local, national and international performers. Music lovers from across the globe travel to Halifax, Nova Scotia to enjoy countless top-quality acts. Last year, the festival drew around 65,000 attendees. Past performers include: Holly Cole, Kenny Garrett, Bill Frisell, John Abercrombie, Arturo Sandoval, Mose Allison, Afro Cuban All Stars, Hugh Masekela and so many more.



The Atlantic Jazz Festival takes place at 13 venues/stages including: an outdoor main stage, a main indoor soft-seater, and a varying number of smaller venues such as art galleries, performance spaces, cathedrals, nightclubs, an official late night club venue and a handful of workshop spaces.



100-125 performance slots are available, and compensation is negotiable. Genres accepted include jazz, blues, World, avant-garde and roots. If you are not sure whether your music fits our programming please include a message describing why you believe your music fits our mandate.



The Atlantic Jazz Festival is guaranteeing to select at least 1 artist who submits by December - so make sure to get your submission in early!



Hotel accommodations are provided to some artists through the festival's host hotel, and those artists paying for their own accommodations are encouraged to use that hotel in order to receive a significant discount. The festival often will arrange the booking of accommodations even for those artists who are paying for their own accommodations.



The Atlantic Jazz Festival has grown significantly - from its grassroots beginnings in 1987 to the world-class festival it has become - entertaining over 65,000 fans while retaining its casual, intimate character and staying true to its community roots. Their mandate is to present the highest quality live jazz, blues, world and roots music in the spirit of collaboration and improvisation.
