Summary

Augustana College is a private, liberal arts college located in Rock Island, IL. The Office of Student Activities (OSA) provides programming, leadership development, student organization assistance (for over 100 recognized groups) and community service opportunities, in an effort to enhance student life, foster the partnership of students, staff, and faculty, and promote a challenging, inclusive, and civic environment at Augustana College. They are currently accepting submissions for performances on campus at various venues during the Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 semesters. When submitting, artists will be asked to indicate which of the following they are applying for:



  • Comedy- Augustana College hosts comedy acts once a month. Comedians will be compensated for their performance with a negotiable flat fee of $1,000-$2,500.




  • Special Events- The school hosts special events once a month, including illusionists, hypnotists, magicians, and other novelty acts. Special events acts will be compensated for their performance with a negotiable flat fee of up to $3,500.



  • Coffeehouse (Java Club)- The Java Club hosts live coffeehouse acts once a week throughout the school year. Selected coffeehouse artists will be compensated for their performance with a negotiable flat fee of $750-$1500.




  • Contemporary Christian acts- The school hosts Contemporary Christian acts on campus, who are compensated for their performances with negotiable flat fees.




  • Lectures- Augustana is looking for lecturers to speak on campus throughout the year. Selected lecturers will be compensated with a negotiable flat fee of $1,500-$4,500.



    A PA system will be provided for all selected acts. Nationally touring acts are encouraged to submit. Please note: The school will consider all acts that submit, but generally prefers to book NACA artists.
