Summary

AWME pioneers new networks and creates opportunities for musicians in Australia, the Pacific and worldwide by engaging with industry representatives from around the globe. In 2012 AWME brought together 300 musicians, over 500 local and international delegates and over 8500 audience members for four days of music, workshops, seminars and showcase concerts.

Artists that have showcased at AWME since 2008 have secured substantial outcomes including: export, touring and festival opportunities such as Glastonbury (UK), Big Chill (UK), Sierra Nevada World Music Festival (Ca, USA), various WOMADs, Fuji Rock (Japan), Sakifo Festival (Reunion Islands), Colours of Ostrava Festival (Czech Republic), Ulsan World Music Festival (South Korea), Winnipeg Folk Festival (Canada), numerous Australian festivals including Bluesfest and WOMADelaide as well as deals with booking agents and record labels locally and abroad, increased media presence and much more.

Terms And Conditions

Artists/Bands wishing to showcase at AWME 2013 are required to meet and fulfill the SHOWCASE CRITERIA AND CONDITIONS which include:

* Artists/submissions need to be Export Ready. This includes a live performance at worldwide international standards as well as high quality production and presentation levels and professional materials.

* Artists/submissions need to be available to attend and perform at AWME on any day between Thursday 14 - Sunday 17 November 2013 with no date restrictions.

* Artists/submissions need to have professional high quality product & marketing material, including CD, live footage or video clips, detailed biography and good quality high-res images.

* Artists/submissions must have management or be established as a successful self-managed group/musician. We strongly recommend having a professional infrastructure and support team available.

* Exclusivity is a condition of showcasing at AWME. AWME requests that the artist does not perform in Melbourne, or in the state of Victoria for the period of three weeks before or after AWME, without prior arrangement with AWME.

* Artists/submissions need to be ready and willing to tour or perform nationally and internationally if performance opportunities are brokered.

*Please note that even if you are not showcasing, you can still attend AWME and promote your music/artists by attending as a delegate. There are 4 days of great networking opportunities, workshops and conference sessions
