Founded by a local musician for local musicians, Band Over Boston began as a library of Boston-and-area music accessible at In House Cafe in Allston (just outside Boston), accessible through iTunes. The library is now being ported to a custom website with an interactive web-based player, geared to make Boston music accessible and convenient to listeners in Boston looking for fresh, independent music. The website will also feature a blog about the music and some cutting-edge features to connect listeners with the scene, currently in development. Band Over Boston's mission also encompasses other locally-minded directives for exposing the thriving Boston musical culture out to Boston and to the hundreds of thousands of potential fans living here.
