Baseball Winter Meetings™ Gala and VIP Dinner & Reception

This year's Baseball Winter Meetings™ will be held in Orlando, FL at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort, Monday, December 4 - Thursday, December 7. For more information on the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort please visit www.swandolphin.com.



The annual Baseball Winter Meetings boasts the largest assembly of executives from all classifications of professional baseball in the world. More than 3,000 people are expected to attend including representatives of 176 Minor League Baseball and 30 Major League Baseball organizations. We are also pleased to welcome representatives from various countries.



The Baseball Winter Meetings is an opportunity for baseball's backbone to reflect on last year's season and plan for the future as we prepare to set records in 2006. Looking at what has and has not worked in the past provides a seasoned look at new ideas and directions for the future. It is time to gather, collaborate and play as we conduct the business of baseball while also celebrating our great pastime.



There are two performance opportunities during Baseball Winter Meetings – at the Annual Gala and the VIP Dinner & Reception.



Annual Gala

Minor League Baseball presents this year's annual Baseball Winter Meetings Gala at Friday's Front Row in Orlando, FL on Wednesday, December 6. Friday's Front Row was rated the #1 sports bar in Orlando by the Orlando Sun-Sentinel and features a state-of-the-art game room. Friday's Front Row will offer attendees the change to mingle with friends while watching one of the 150 televisions located in this three level sports restaurant. There will be approximately 1,000 people attending this event.



This opportunity is open for acoustic acts only (except for DJs) in genres including Pop, Rock, Adult Contemporary, Electronic/Dance/DJ, Top 40, and Hip/Hop Rap. You may have a band as long as you are able to do an uplugged, stripped down set. Selected artist will be paid $600 - $800. This is a flat fee and no other monies are offered. Travel, lodging or per diem is not provided. Artists may also sell merchandise at the event.



VIP Dinner & Reception

The Baseball Winter Meetings VIP Dinner & Reception will take place on Sunday, December 3rd from 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm. The event is attended by the VIP’s of Minor League Baseball (the decisions makers) along with their spouse. There are approximately 100 people at this event.



This opportunity is for jazz musicians only - at least a duo or trio. The selected musicians will need to be in the room for dinner first and then would have a short time to move themselves to the patio for the reception. Selected artists will be paid $600 – $700. No other expenses are paid but dinner will be provided for each musician.
