Battlerusa - The Road to Wakarusa

Battlerusa will be on the road and stopping in many Midwestern cities from January 18 through February 10, 2006. It is a traveling party, with giveaways, raffles, art, and music. Each night, Loyal Family will showcase some of the best local talent that the Midwest has to offer and each night a winner will be selected by fan voting and awarded a performance slot at Wakarusa Music and Camping Festival to be held June 8,9,10, 2006 in Lawrence, KS. So, 18 bands will win performance slots at Wakarusa, home to over 20,000 music lovers from all across the country. Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis so the earlier you submit, the earlier you’ll know if you have been selected.



On February 9 and 10, 2006 there will be two final battles in which each of the individual city winners are invited to showcase their talents at the Bottleneck in Lawrence. The winners of the Lawrence battles will receive special upgraded packages and “Loyal” treatment at Wakarusa. These two bands will win a paid performance slot at Wakarusa and a track on the Wakarusa 2006 Compilation CD.



All bands selected to play at Battlerusa will also be given the opportunity to submit a track for the Battlerusa 2006 Compilation CD. All winners will get one track mastered by Major Label Sound in Chicago, IL.



All genres are accepted. Bands can submit to play Battlerusa in any city. There will be 4-6 bands selected each night.
