Beeckestijn Pop

Beeckestijn Pop is a free festival located in the beautiful Beeckestijn Park in Velsen-Zuid, near IJmuiden. Although it is a regional event, Beeckestijnpop serves the whole region of the northwestern part of the Netherlands. Beeckestijnpop has an average attendance of 10,000 people, and has the reputation of being one of the most sociable festivals in the country.



The festival will be held on June 9, 2007 in Velsen-Zuid. There will be lodging for any selected artists. There is one slot for a Sonicbids artist to play the main stage. Seven bands will be playing on the main stage with an average of 2 bands not from the Netherlands. The other bands will be regional and national performers. There is one stage for regional performers only along with one irrational library stage for small, underground performers.



Last year, Fishbone and Heavy Trash played the festival as an example of some of the more well-known acts.
