While the heart of the festival is based around Beverley Leisure Complex on Flemingate, the festival resonates throughout the town, with workshops taking place in the beautiful setting of Beverley Friary and the colourful and delightful dance teams performing throughout Beverley's main streets on Saturday and Sunday.

Fringe events also take place in some of the charismatic bars around the town with many taking place in Hodgson's, located adjacent to the 'Festival Village'.

The Festival Village grew in 2009 with the addition of 2 new marquees - Acoustic & Concert, bringing the total to 4 music venues on site offering non stop performances. The famous 'Late Night Festival Club' continues to cater for those wishing to see even more wonderful acts late on into the night. Many other events take place in the Leisure Centre such as the headline acts, which in 2009 were Billy Bragg, Peatbog Faeries & Seth Lakeman!

"Beverley remains the quintessentially compact, friendly weekend for all the family. Always a festival to break down barriers. The heart of the festival is its 'Festival Village' - Rock 'n' Reel, September 2009
