The Birmingham Jazz Festival has been bringing the best musicians from around Britain and the world to Birmingham for over 25 years. Artists are offered compensation for their performance and to help cover travel costs to Birmingham, United Kingdom./n/nBirmingham Jazz Festival, organised by Big Bear Music, is looking for performers for the 2010 festival. The 2009 event included over 180 performances, 70 venues, 290 musicians, and 81 bands. Most of the events are free to the public.



Artists are offered compensation for their performance and to help cover travel costs to Birmingham, United Kingdom. 2009's performance venues included Barber Institute of Fine Arts, Botanical Gardens, the Town Hall of Birmingham, and a host of other pubs, taverns, clubs, venues, restaurants, and outdoor locations around the city.



Notable past performers include:

Nomy Rosenberg, King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys, and Petra Ernyei, Art Themen, Greg Abate, Hot D'Jazz of Cracow, Oleg Kireyev, and many more. The Birmingham Jazz Festival has been bringing the best musicians from around Britain and the world to Birmingham for over 25 years.
