Summary
The Bluebird Music and Arts Festival celebrates the American Midwest through its music and arts in a two day, indoor, walking festival in downtown Columbia, MO during the 14th and 15th of November 2008. There will be over ten music and art venues and over fifty International, National and Regional bands, all with Midwestern roots.
Bluebird Music and Arts is currently accepting submissions from musicians interested in playing at the first annual festival. Submissions from musicians from any genre interest them, with two qualifications: Your band or music should have some connection to the Midwest and your band must be good. They look forward to hearing your material and learning about your bands connection to the Midwest.
By creating opportunity for the appreciation of the American Midwests music and arts, the festival hopes to foster a forum for both celebrating American Midwestern culture and for discussing, understanding, and building that cultural solidarity, while following the ideals of their parent non-profit organization.
