Blue Light Digital Sound has created a concert series featuring acoustic musicians called “The Blue Light Sessions” designed to provide a way for artists to record a live concert CD and DVD for free. They hold the shows in the live room of the recording studio, which is located in a historic building in Mt. Holly, NJ. This is a great opportunity to record a live album and concert DVD to sell, promote, or include in press kits.

The live room is set up with seats for an audience of 20-25 people to provide an intimate performance space. Blue Light records each performance into ProTools and films the performances with a high definition camera. After each show, they mix, master, and duplicate the CDs and assemble the final DVD for the artist. All artists receive 26 copies of the finished CD, a copy of the finished DVD, and two videos uploaded to YouTube.

There is zero cost to the artist at all. To compensate for the actual labor involved in recording, mixing, filming, administrating the event, and duplicating the CDs, Blue Light requires that the artist sells the 25 tickets to the show.

This opportunity is open to local, regional, and national artists of all genres that consist of five members or less. Performances must be acoustic.
