Musician's Friend Token Listing - Free Submission. BoB is a seasonal event celebrating up-and-coming New York music put on by music fans. To add some fun and value for the bands, there is a competition element to the event. Bands can win a free mastering session at Sterling Sound, equipment from The Guitar Center, and exposure in the Village Voice./n/nBoB is a seasonal event celebrating up-and-coming New York music put on by music fans. To add some fun and value for the bands, there is a competition element to the event. Bands can win a free mastering session at Sterling Sound, equipment from The Guitar Center, and exposure in the Village Voice. Fans can win prizes, too, including drink tickets, gift certificates from restaurants and music venues and more.



Each band is paid 30% of their door (tickets are $10-$15) and plays a full 1/2 hour set. Bands that draw 50 people to the event get listed as a fan favorite in a Village Voice ad following the show, including a link to the bands's website or Facebook page.



A panel of uniquely qualified judges determines the winner based on Quality of Music, Originality of Sound and Crowd Reaction. Past judges include Jonathan Clarke from Q104.3, Rob Inadomi, A&R, Sony Music, and Michel Shapiro, music blogger for The Huffington Post.



The promoter rents out the space, takes out a Facebook ad campaign, a Google adwords campaign, print customized flyers for bands, as well as general flyers and in-store signage for our partners. They do not make money on these events.



Bands must promote the show to their fanbase. Please do not submit to this event if you are not going to promote the show. Only artists from New York will be considered for this opportunity.
