Summary

Boomdays Heritage Celebration is an annual arts and music festival in Fort Payne, Alabama. This year's festival will be held on September 17th, 2011. There are 5 stages including two indoor venues that feature the headline shows of the festival. It is looking to book local, regional and touring solo artists and bands to perform live on one of the festival stages. At least 1 slot is reserved for Sonicbids artists who play a wide variety of genres (except for metal, punk, rap, and hip hop). 2 selected artists will get a guarantee of at least $800 - $1000. 3 other artists will be selected to play, and will be compensated (TBD) once selections are made./n/nBoomdays Heritage Celebration is an annual arts and music festival in Fort Payne, Alabama. Here’s what selected artists get:



  • 2 selected artists will get a guarantee of at least $800 - $1000. 3 other artists will be selected to play, and will be compensated (TBD) once selections are made.

  • Travel and lodging may be provided, and are negotiated on a case by case basis.

  • A sound and lighting system and a sound engineer will be provided at the venue, but artists are responsible for bringing their own instruments and any additional equipment.



About the venue:


Boomdays Heritage Celebration is sponsored by the City of Fort Payne, Alabama with partners such as the Big Wills Arts Council, the Chamber of Commerce, and local businesses. Last year's festival brought about 5,000 attendees to the grounds. Past performers include, Percy Sledge, The Boxtops, Travis Wammack, Anders Osborne, Tinsley Ellis, Robert Johnston, Charlie Louvin, Blackberry Smoke, and others. Outdoor events are free to the public.
