Summary

Boulder's Big Hootenanny, celebrating its 6th year, is a 3-day solar powered boutique music festival offering exceptional performances and a magnificent on-site camping experience against the backdrop of Colorado’s Gold Lake, bordering the Roosevelt National Forest. It will take place from August 9th to the 11th of 2013. The event coordinators are looking for one Sonicbids artist to be selected for a main-stage performance at Boulder’s Big Hootenanny. Access Film Music Ltd. is offering a $150 stipend to help defray travel costs for the selected artist, and all bandmembers will receive complimentary on-site camping passes for all 3 days of the festival.

Presenting extraordinary established and emerging artists, from solo acoustic singer/songwriters to electric bands from within the roots tradition, as well as late night campfire jams and community meals, this unique setting never fails to cultivate an unforgettable experience for the artists and the audience.

The mission of Boulder's Big Hootenanny is to raise funds and awareness for The Conscious Alliance, a national nonprofit organization committed to hunger relief and youth empowerment. Proceeds from the 2012 Boulder’s Big Hootenanny enabled 5,500 pounds of food to be delivered to the Lakota Nation. Access Film Music Ltd. has partnered with Boulder’s Big Hootenanny to help further their mission and find new talent for the festival.
