Summary
After the transition to music venue and bar, Pete's became a wider known neighborhood institution and an early "hipster hot spot". Beth Orton played the very first show at Pete's Candy Store. Some of the earliest musical residencies featured The Howard Fishman Quartet, Greg Garing and Matty Charles and the Valentines. Reverend Vince Anderson and his Love Choir were a Sunday fixture for several years.
Pete's Candy Store continues its long tradition as a Brooklyn live music venue and local tavern with a far reaching reputation.
