Brooklyn Bodega is booking 2 Sonicbids artists for the 12th annual Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival. Selected artists will receive a slot at one of the two stages on the festival grounds on Saturday where some of the world's biggest names in Hip Hop will be featured, including Nas, Fabolous, Talib Kweli, and Rapsody!
The Opportunity
The 12th Annual Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival returns to Brooklyn Bridge Park this July with headlining performances by the best in Old School, New School, local and future stars of Hip-Hop and R&B.
Presented by Brooklyn Bodega, The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival is one of America's premier hip-hop events, and is known for giving independent artists the chance to perform on the same bill as legends.
Past Performers Include:
Jay Z, Kanye West, Jay Electronica, Busta Rhymes, Q-Tip, Kendrick Lamar, Raekwon, J. Cole, De La Soul, Ghostface Killah
Past Sponsors Include:
Brooklyn Brewery, Nielsen
The Band
- Hip-hop, R&B and soul acts only
- Artists from all locations encouraged to submit
- Artists will be selected on the basis of creativity, quality, and a track record of professional performances.
The Gig
Details:
- Set lengths are 15-20 minutes
- Main stage festival performance on Saturday will be outdoors
- Backline includes DJ set up (Decks, mixer) and drum kit
- House DJ can be provided but artists encouraged to have their own DJ
- Professional sound and sound engineer provided
- Selected acts receive passes to the festival
- Small guest list for selected artists provided
- All selected artists will be included in official press for the festival
