The deadline is coming soon to submit to BrooklynCountry.com SummerFest 2011. The festival will be an all day, all night country music extravaganza. Taking place on July 9th, 2011, the event will featuree 12 country, bluegrass, and Americana acts along with food, drinks, and family fun. At least 2 Sonicbids will be selected to perform and compensated with a percantage of the door. Brooklyn Country is the culmination of centuries of musical folklore, picking and tunesmithing. Its a brand of music that openly identifies with its Americana roots. It celebrates stories and melodies and earthy rhythms that havent gone out of style since their inception. Each event is sponsored by Sixpoint Craft Ale (bands drink free and they host a Honky Tonk Happy Hour for the first hour of the event). Their events have been written up in the Village Voice, Brooklyn Courier, and other local papers.
