Summary

Now in its fourth year, the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival's Show & Prove concert series is a showcase of independent and local hip-hop talent. One of the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival's most celebrated events, it consists of three (3) preliminary contests (held in April, May and June at Public Assembly in Brooklyn, NY) and the Show & Prove Super Bowl (held at Brooklyn Bowl on July 9th, 2012), which concludes the series & kicks off the festival.

How it works:

Four (4) artists will be selected to perform at each preliminary event, and one (1) artist winner will be selected at each preliminary. The three (3) winners from the preliminary events will then compete at the Show & Prove Super Bowl (on July 9th) for the opportunity to open on the festival's Main Stage on July 14th.

Show & Prove preliminary dates:

  • Show & Prove #1 - Thursday, April 12th (SUBMISSIONS CLOSED)
  • Show & Prove #2 - Thursday, May 10th (SUBMISSIONS CLOSED)
  • Show & Prove #3 - Thursday, June 21st (Submission deadline = Thursday, May 31st)
