Browngrass Festival 2011 is an annual music benefit held to help support WNKU 89.7 FM public radio. This year's event will be held on July 16th and has been moved to an outdoor venue in Rabbit Hash KY. It is looking for 10 solo artists and bands to perform live at this year's festival. Specifically, the festival coordinators are looking for local and regional acts to perform on 2 stages, one outdoors and one inside the Rabbit Hash General Store. This year's event will be held on July 16th and has been moved to an outdoor venue in Rabbit Hash KY. It is looking for 10 solo artists and bands to perform live at this year's festival.
Specifically, the festival coordinators are looking for local and regional acts to perform on 2 stages, one outdoors and one inside the Rabbit Hash General Store. Typical genres that do well in Rabbit Hash are Americana, country, folk, blues, indie, pop, rock and world. Selected artists are asked to donate their time for a 40 minute set. Drum and bass backline and a professional sound system will be provided on the outdoor stage
About the festival:
Browngrass Festival 2011 will include over 20 artists, food and beverage, raffles and more. It is an all age venue. Typical festivals in Rabbit Hash attract over 1000 visitors per day. This is an excellent opportunity to give back to the radio community that has supported local music in the Cincinnati area for years. It is also an opportunity to bring your band to Rabbit Hash KY, one of the most sought after music venues in the area.
