Summary
Boston University's BU Central has quickly become one of Boston's premiere music and comedy clubs. They provide both artist and audience with high-quality staging, sound, and lights, making it one of the most intimate rooms in the city in which to experience a show. With a 400-person capacity room, the layout gives the audience a feeling of intimacy and closeness to the performer.
Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night, BU Central opens its doors to members of the campus community and all of the entertainment is free to Boston University students and their friends. BU Central hosts bands in all genres as well as comedians and other non music performers. Artists will be compensated for their performance.
In the past, BU Central has hosted some of entertainment's elite, including: Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Ambulance LTD, We Are Scientists, Kay Hanley, 7L & Esoteric, Mike Birbiglia, Pete Francis of Dispatch, Gary Gulman, and Danny Jamieson & Melinda Stolp, and the stars of MTVs The Real World - Austin.
