Bucket Records Music Inc is a Toronto, Canada based label founded in July of 2003 by musician and producer, James King. Being a freelance audio engineer and producer as well as a musician with a 10 year history in music has given James a unique insight into the music business. He
formed Bucket Records as a response to the changing demands placed upon the music industry by new technologies. We've developed a business that
leverages the power of peer-to-peer technologies and are involved in discussions with various activist organizations, legal clinics, and government bodies about Voluntary Collective Licensing -- We believe the future of music and culture as a whole will depend on the success of
peer-to-peer technology.
We look for artists in popular genres such as rock, alternative, punk, a wide spectrum of electronic music, hip-hop, R&B, and alternative folk, but are more inclined to artists who experiment with them or push boundaries. We like to work with artists who are realistic and bold --
people who align with our view of things... cause afterall, "We like to share."
