Buffalo State Showcase

The Buffalo State College Campus hosts live music shows inside the student union and has 4 upcoming shows in April, 2011 for which it is looking to book performing artists. There are 5 slots available for local, regional and national acts of a variety of genres, such as pop, rock, indie, alternative, hardcore, post hardcore, screamo, etc. One nationally known artist is booked per show. For local acts, compensation is provided based on ticket sales for acts from out of town a guarantee will be negotiated./n/nThe Buffalo State College Campus hosts live music shows inside the student union and has 4 upcoming shows in April, 2011 for which it is looking to book performing artists. There are 5 slots available for local, regional and national acts of a variety of genres, such as pop, rock, indie, alternative, hardcore, post hardcore, screamo, etc. One nationally known artist is booked per show.

For local acts, compensation is provided based on ticket sales. For acts from out of town, a guarantee will be negotiated. As well, a possible cut of the percentage of profit after expenses, food and hospitality for the night may also be provided. The average set length is 30 to 45 minutes. A PA and sound engineer will be provided at the venue, but artists are responsible for providing their own instruments and any additional equipment.



As well, WBNY, the Buffalo State College student radio station will make sure the band is on air for an interview during week of the show to try and give it additional promotion. Past performers include Heroes and Villians, Brad Bialy, Birth of A Catastrophe, The Belladonna, Dite Nate, Speakeasy Three, The Bunny and The Bear and many more.
