Burlington Discover Jazz Festival 2011

The 28th annual Burlington Discover Jazz Festival will be held from June 3-12, 2011 at various stages and venues throughout Burlington, Vermont. The festival draws roughly 45,000 people. Previous performers include Diana Krall, Sonny Rollins, Dave Brubeck, Branford Marsalis, Levon Helm, Ornette Coleman, Chick Corea, Bela Fleck, Maceo Parker, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Vijay Iyer, Esperanza Spalding and many more.


The festival is produced by the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts in association with Burlington City Arts and is presented by Northfield Savings Bank. Additional Festival Sponsors include Lake Champlain Chocolates, WPTZ News Channel 5, Verizon Wireless, Budweiser, Comcast and more.


The Burlington Discover Jazz Festival began as a way to celebrate not only jazz's breadth but also the Vermont performers who were contributing to its continual evolution. Twenty-eight years later it has grown into an opportunity for world-renowned artists local and regional performers and burgeoning student musicians to thrill, connect us and make us appreciate what a powerful force live music is.
