Summary

Burlington's Sound of Music Festival is one of the Top 100 Festivals in Ontario. Attendance has averaged 170,000 people each year, and compensation is negotiable for selected artists.

Previous headliners include Finger11, Jim Cuddy, Tom Cochrane, 54-40, jackSoul, Johnny Reid and more. There are 12 slots reserved for Sonicbids members./n/nVoted one of the Top 100 Festivals in Ontario, Burlington's Sound of Music Festival is one of the summer's most sought-after shows. Featuring a unique blend of new and emerging artists, Canadian icons of the past, and fan favorites on several stages along the waterfront and downtown. A minimum of 12 Sonicbids artists will be selected to perform.



Burlington's Sound of Music Festival is a free four day musical celebration of local and Canadian talent. Last year the Festival featured performances from the following:

Attendance has been estimated at over 170,000 people for each of the past five years. In addition to the live music areas, the festival includes licensed areas, food & merchandise vendors, a Family Zone and a carnival with games & rides. The Festival is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit event. It is a family event and the use of profanity will not be allowed.



Submission will only be accepted from Canadian performers with a preference for performers who have not yet played at the Festival. Artists' EPK's must be complete and up-to-date, including the required questions are fully answered. Compensation will be provided and is negotiated at the time of booking.
