Summary
Sound of Music Festival is the largest annual gathering of free, live music in Canada. Featuring a unique blend of new and emerging artists, the Festival presents varying genres and family fun all in one amazing lakeside location, Burlington Downtown and Waterfront, June 13-16, 2013. A minimum of 15 Sonicbids artists will be selected to perform.

Attendance is over 200,000 people for each of the past five years. In addition to the live music areas, the Festival includes licensed areas, food, merchandise and crafter areas, a Family Zone and a carnival with rides and games. The Festival is run from a strong volunteer base and is a not-for-profit organization. It is a family event and the use of profanity and audience inciting is not allowed.
Submissions will only be accepted from Canadian performers with a preference for performers who have not played at the Festival in the past 2-3 years. Artists' EPKs must be complete and up-to-date, and the required questions must be fully answered. Compensation will be provided and is negotiated at the time of booking.
