Featuring a unique blend of new and emerging artists, Canadian icons of the past, and fan favorites on several stages along our beautiful waterfront and downtown. The festival will be held June 17-20, 2010. Compensation is negotiable for selected artists.


Burlington's Sound of Music is a free, four day musical celebration of local and Canadian talent. Previous headliners include Finger11, Jim Cuddy, Tom Cochrane, 54-40, jackSoul, Johnny Reid, Doc Walker, Spirit of the West, Aaron Lines and George Fox. Emerging artists have included Tommy Swick, Saint Alvia Cartel, Silverstein, illScarlet and Serena Ryder. With five stages and three additional performance areas, there is something for everyone.


Attendance has been estimated at over 170,000 people for each of the past five years. In addition to the live music areas, the festival includes licensed areas, food & merchandise vendors, a Family Zone and a carnival with games & rides. The Festival is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit event. It is a family event and the use of profanity will not be allowed.


Submissions will only be accepted from Canadian performers, with a preference to those located in Southern Ontario or Canadian performers on tour in Southern Ontario at the time of the Festival. As well as a preference for performers that have not yet played at the Festival. You must specify your performance fees with your submission. Please make sure your EPK is complete and up-to-date. Compensation will be provided and is negotiated with the Programming Director at the time of booking.
