Summary

Butterfield’s Roadhouse is an old fashioned down to earth music venue for local and national artists, a special venue for traveling artists and performers, and special events and jams.

Salli and Gabriel are currently featuring and introducing “The Paul Butterfield Fund and Society” and exhibits that will be rotating artifacts and continually growing.

One of their signature projects is The PBFS Educational Archival Exhibit representing segments of Paul's life & career, which currently includes memorabilia: posters, handbills, tickets, art work, photographs, music, videos and personal artifacts of Paul's. Likewise, it is also representing the arts & artists of that era.

The PBFS Educational Archival Exhibit was unveiled as part of a three day multi-media extravaganza on Dec 17th, 2004 at the Key West Hard Rock Cafe on Paul's birthday; a day when radio stations nationwide joined in memory of Paul & support of PBFS, by playing Paul's music throughout the day. This collection continues to grow and they hope to have it on the road at various special events in the very near future. Beginning in January they will be holding Blues Jams every second and fourth Thursday of the month and Acoustic Jams every second and fourth Friday of each month.

They have a combined listening room, roadhouse/juke joint coffee house style ambiance at The Frog and the Hummingbird Co. and Butterfield's Roadhouse. It's located at 118 Municipal Avenue (Corner of Rose Street) in Sopchoppy, Florida. The second and fourth Thrusday of each month they host blues jams and second and fourth Friday of each month they host acoustic jams. These are free events and all msucians are welcome; there is no compensation for these events.

They also book bands for other nights and do offer compensation and meals. They book local, regional and national performers and offer the forum for fill in gigs/dates for traveling musicians, for special events and fundraisers as well. They are also mostly looking for Blues, Funk, Folk, Old-timey, Jazz or similar genre artists.  A drum set and small PA is available at the venue. Compensation is on individual basis.

They offer Herbal Products, Teas from Around the World, Healthy Snacks, Bamboo Items, Basic Music Needs, Exotic Luxury Mosquito Nets, Kimono, Jewelry, Mardi Gras Masks by award-winning mask maker for Cirque du Soleil in Montreal, Photography, Artwork, Crafts, Consignment work and much more...
