Cafe Prytania - New Orleans

Where Uptown gives way to the Garden District, Cafe Prytania builds on a history of bars and restaurants located at this site. It is looking to book local to touring solo artists and bands to perform live on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Cafe Prytania welcomes a wide variety of genres, especially indie rock. Artists must be able to draw at least 10 people to the show and be 21 years and older to play. Here’s what selected artists get:

• Artists will be compensated with a split of the door. This amount will be negotiated at the time of booking.


• Artists can sell their merchandise and keep 100% of the profits.


• A sound and lighting system and a limited backline will be provided at the venue, but artists are responsible for bringing their own instruments and any additional equipment.

Local music, one of kind food, and walls decked out with New Orleans nostalgia set the stage for Cafe Prytania, capacity 200. Hear the “Soul Rebels” or “The Rebirth Brass Band” play the same stage that is frequented by up and coming indie rock bands while also finding traditional New Orleans Jazz on its calendar. Order an enormous gourmet sandwich or a specialty poboy such as “The Thai Chilli Lamb” on french bread from the “Milk Bar” counter located behind our stage.
