Tape and C.D. Records is seeking bands to play this Winter/Spring. Taking submissions for acts looking to play at Caffeine Underground other small to mid-sized venues in the NYC area. Our passion is coffee, community and building a local music scene in BK. If you have a great sound and vibe that fits Caffeine Underground, apply now and we'll find a date for you to rock the stage.
The Opportunity
Voted Best Coffee in The Bushwick Daily, featured on TimeOut, Secret NYC, and News 12, The Caffeine Underground brings the underground into the spotlight. Fostering a supportive local community of creatives, intellectuals, geeks, freaks, musicians, artists, creators, makers, dreamers, LGBTQIA, and anyone who wants to break the mold!
This is a great opportunity to play at one of Brooklyn's most unique music venues. Acts must be able to bring a minimum of 10 people. We have various time slots available. If you think you can get people to come, we will work out the time slot and musical bill that works best for you.
The Band
- Preferred acts: experimental or semi-experimental, rock: post-punk, emo, indie, avant-garde, electronica
- We also sometimes book stuff like Hip-hop, pop, and jazz
- If you have a unique sound and can bring a crowd, please apply!

The Gig
- Sound and lights provided
- Sets are 15-45 Minutes depending on the gig
- We have more dates available than those listed. If you're interested in playing our venue, apply and we'll send you availabilities that we think fit your band!
- Capacity 75
- Door deal is usually 40% of $10 cover to bands, 40% to venue, 20%-30% for promoter/door/sound guy
