If you are looking for visibility, this is a great opportunity! Cambridge Carnival International presents the 15th Annual Cambridge Carnival on Sunday, August 26, 2007 in Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA.

Cambridge Carnival is a colorful and festive celebration that is rooted in African and South American traditions. The rich rhythmic musicality and culture of the Caribbean can be seen as revelers masquerade through the streets in dazzling handmade costumes dancing to the beat of Carnival!

The festival features live performances by world music, reggae, Latin and jazz artists. There is also have a Kidsfest that features free performances and activities for youth ages 5-12 years old. This event attracts is free to the public to attend and draws more than 50,000 people.

Artists are also encouraged to participate in the 1.5-mile parade procession featuring hundreds of costume revelers accompanied by steel bands, percussion, and live DJ's. Selected artists will be provided with lodging expenses and compensated for their performances.

Since its inception in 1992, Cambridge Carnival has grown from a small street fair to one of the most spectacular events in Cambridge and the Greater Boston area. This growth led to, in 2005, a change in venue from Central Square to its new home in Kendall Square.
