The Camel

The Camel, located in Richmond, VA, is a space for music, art, poetry, video, political forums, and conversation-anything that brings people together in the spirit of a free flow of ideas. They are looking to book local to touring solo artists and bands to perform live on available dates, nightly; typically Jazz on Tuesdays. The Camel welcomes all genres of music. Artists must be able draw a minimum of 75-150 guests to be considered for booking. Artists will be compensated. Here’s what selected artists get:

• Artists will be compensated. This amount is usually a 90/10 split of the cover charge with the first $50 going to security and another $50 if the artists use their sound engineer.
• Artists will be provided with a 16 channel mixer, with mains and two monitor mixes. Also, Shure SM58 microphones and mic stands.
