Camp Rocks 2008 Compilation CD

Easy Tiger Records, a division of Wavelength Musician Development, would like to invite you to be part of their Camp Rocks 2008 CD compilation! This fall and winter they'll be accepting submissions from Sonicbids artists interested in being included on this disc. Songs on the artist EPKs will be considered for the compilation. The goal is to reach 5,000 younger adults and campers throughout the Northeast. There will be 3 Sonicbids artists selected, for whom the $100 additional fee will be waived.



Why would a summer camp be any good for band exposure? The answer to this is simple; a guaranteed listening audience. At summer camps, teens and counselors listen to music constantly. Many counselors are foreign, and the distributed compilations will travel to countries around the world. Most campers come from different regions and many from urban areas like Boston and New York City. They will be taking these discs home with them attached to their memories of camp. Your fan base will instantly grow!



Jim Bowen, the project director at Wavelength Musician Development, has been a musician for 15 years. His experience has been paying a lot to be on compilation CDs for very little exposure. When he was trying to find a way to reach new people, he realized that the resource was directly at his fingertips: distribution of a compilation CD to campers! Along with being a musician, Jim has also worked summer camps for 8 years of his life. As an administrator, the camp was always faced with the challenge of finding the funding for camperships. Not all parents can afford to send their children to summer camp, but every child should have the opportunity.



The purpose of Camp Rocks 2008 is to help get these kids to camp. Artists will receive exposure in exchange for their track contribution. Money raised from the project will create a fund to be distributed to summer camps across New England and New York.
