Canada at NACA

This showcase is a unique opportunity for Canadian acts that are likely to appeal to the US college market and that have reached a level of development where they have the support required to tour campuses in the United States.



Campus Entertainment, LLC is hosting a special US/Canada showcase at the legendary Nashville Palace nightclub in Nashville, Tennessee that will take place on the night before the official start of the 2007 NACA National Convention. NACA is the National Association for Campus Activities and Campus Entertainment is a company designated by NACA to operate this showcase.



The Nashville Palace is located across the street from the Gaylord Opryland Grand Hotel, site of the NACA National Convention. The showcase will be held from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight on Friday, February 16, 2007. The showcase will be free to delegates registered for the NACA Convention.



The showcase length is 25 minutes for each act and a total of six acts will be selected to showcase. Three acts will be selected by Campus Entertainment, LLC and three acts will be selected by the Canadian Organization of Campus Activities (COCA) in partnership with representatives of the Canadian music industry.



Artists applying to be one of the 3 showcase acts to be selected by COCA must pay a non-refundable Showcase Application fee of $45.00 USD and if selected to showcase, must also pay a Showcase fee of $500 USD to Campus Entertainment, LLC.



Successful "Canada at NACA" showcase applicants must be represented in the NACA Campus Activities Marketplace (trade show) during the NACA Convention, Feb. 17-20, 2007. This can be done in 1 of 3 ways.

1. Be represented by a company that already has a booth in the Marketplace, or
   
   
2. Be represented by the Canada booth should that option become available, or
   
   
3. Be self-represented in your own booth - base fee $800 USD plus $283 USD per person registered to work in the booth.

Successful "Canada at NACA" showcase applicants must become members of COCA or be represented by an organization that is, or will become, an Associate Member of COCA. Base membership fee is $275.00 CAD +6% GST tax. You may download an Associate Membership Application Form from the COCA website - coca.org - click on Join.



Successful "Canada at NACA" showcase applicants are NOT required to become members of NACA but may do so if they wish. Base fee is $632 USD and the Application Form is available on the NACA website - naca.org - click on Join Now.
