About the Capital Jazz Fest: June 3rd - 5th, 2011

The Capital Jazz Fest, now in its 19th year, attracts 30,000+ music lovers from all over the country. Held in Columbia, Maryland (between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore), the festival presents a 3-day, 2-stage outdoor event filled with cool jazz and soul music and other activities. The festival is seeking up-and-coming artists to perform on one of the two festival stages:



  • The Pavilion Stage: Showcases the best in contemporary jazz. Past headliners include Kenny G, George Benson, Anita Baker, David Sanborn George Duke, Boney James, Herbie Hancock, and more.


  • The Soul Stage: Showcases urban and neo-soul artists. Past performers include Angie Stone, Eric Benét, Patti LaBelle, Dwele, Musiq Soulchild, Jeffrey Osborne, Ledisi, The Brand New Heavies, and more.

About the Capital Jazz SuperCruise: October 23rd - 30th, 2011

The Capital Jazz SupercCruise is a 7-day full-ship music festival at sea that attracts nearly 3,000 passengers. The 2011 cruise will be held on the beautiful Carnival Valor cruise ship and will feature concerts, parties, jam sessions, and much more. The cruise is seeking up-and-coming jazz, R&B, and neo-soul artists to perform on the cruise. 



Performers on the 2011 SuperCruise include George Duke, Norman Brown, Fourplay, Down To The Bone, Rachelle Ferrell, Roy Ayers, Patti Austin and many, many more.
