JUST ANNOUNCED: Neko Case, Major Lazer, Fitz and the Tantrums, Phantogram, The Lumineers, Grimes, Aesop Rock, Black Breath and many, many more have been confirmed to perform at CHBP 2012.
The Capitol Hill Block Party (CHBP) is a unique festival experience, taking place in the most vibrant nightlife neighborhood in Seattle, Capitol Hill. The Block Party map spans six city blocks, and brings 30,000 people through their neighborhood annually.
Taking place July 20-22, 2012, CHBP will expand to a total of six stages, playing host to over 120 artists. Two slots are reserved for Sonicbids artists. Selected artists will receive $200 - $1,000 each.
This year's performers include Neko Case, Major Lazer, Fitz and the Tantrums, Phantogram, The Lumineers, Grimes, Aesop Rock, Youth Lagoon, Diplo, Thee Oh Sees, Cloud Nothings, Twin Shadow, Dam-Funk, Doomtree, Blue Sky Black Death, Porcelain Rafts, Crystal Stilts, Black Breath and many more.
CHBP's roster from previous years has included MGMT, Fleet Foxes, Vampire Weekend, Les Savy Fav, Girl Talk, Spoon, Explosions in the Sky, TV on the Radio, Band of Horses, The Dead Weather, Built to Spill, Chromeo, Silversun Pickups, Thurston Moore, Yeasayer, Atmosphere, and many more.
CHBP 2012 is looking for a wide range of bands in all genres and stretching from all parts of the world.
