Summary

Carlson Entertainment is accepting song submissions for licensing consideration in a film with a budget of $10 million. This sports related biography/drama is set in the late 1940's to early 1950's. The story encompasses sports, travel and the segregated times.



General music needed:



  • Period music from 1948-1952 ala New York jazz society bands. Examples: Louis Jordan, Billie Holiday, Coleman Hawkins, Copacabana Club type R&B, jazz, etc. Either period songs and/or recordings or 'in the style of' are acceptable.



  • New R&B music that reflects a coming together across racial divides - unified dreams of equality, talents that cross boundaries, etc. Examples: Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, etc.

    Music can blend classic R&B sounds with modern beats and styles.



    Carlson Entertainment will pitch their favorite submissions to the film's music supervisor directly for placement consideration. Selected artists will receive compensation through a 50/50 split of the sync fee and royalties. Selected artists/songwriters will need to sign a non-exclusive licensing agreement. Artists must be at least 18 years old and own the copyrights to their submitted materials.
