Castle Palooza 2008

Castle Palooza is a totally unique music festival that takes place at Charlesville Castle in Tullamore, Co. Offaly, Ireland. 
Going into its third year, Castele Palooza features 40 bands and DJs over 2 days on 2 stages with 2 slots reserved exclusively for Sonicbids artists.  Last year's festival featured a performance by the legendary Sister Sledge!

Musically, the festival is diverse and accepts rock, bluegrass, electro etc. However, there is no chance that the classical scene will be selected.  Also, 80% of the artists selected to perform will be from Ireland, with most of the rest being International & alternative headliners.  The final requirement is that the artist has launched at least one EP or a single.

If you're tired of crazy prices, queues and crowds then Castle Palooza is for you. Every year, all 1,500 lucky ticket holders have exclusive daily access to the castle over the weekend as well as great camping facilities, free hot showers and flushing loos! Castle Palooza also hand-picks Ireland's greatest bands to showcase their superb talent.

No compensation will be provided although all artists have access to the green room where drinks & food will be provided.  Additionally, artist will be offered accommodation in a separate, exclusive camping area on the festival site.

Charleville Castle is so much more than just another festival venue. This 17th century castle is situated in Ireland's most ancient primordial oak woods, once the haunting grounds of Ireland's druids!
