They features a wide array of genres, from Americana to reggae to electro to rock.

Shows are scheduled on Friday and Saturday nights. Show times are at 8PM till about 11. Bills generally feature a headliner with two openers or an opener with two co-bills. They also have a Thursday Night Showcase program featuring three co-bills aimed at those who are new to the area. Chaplin's also offers every band the ability to record the show in audio or video.

Here's an overview:

  • Chaplin's has no built-in audience, so artists should be able to draw on their own

  • Bands are expected to promote their gig based on the above and the expectation to draw a certain amount laid out in the compensation section above

  • Their Thursday night showcase program is for bands with a smaller draw, and only requires sale of 5 tickets

  • Artists may also rent out the room rather than meeting a minimum sales level
