Muzak Heart & Soul - Charlotte Battle of the Bands 2010

The Muzak Heart & Soul Foundation is proud to sponsor a Battle of the Bands for Nashville. The final Battle of the Bands event will be open to the public and the best band will be chosen by a combination of judge scores and audience votes. The winning band will be awarded great prizes including studio recording time, gift certificates, Muzak program placement and more. The Muzak Heart and Soul Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to redefining and expanding the scope of music education.



At least 5 Sonicbids bands will be selected.



The Battle of the Bands will take place in two segments. Any band that has 2 to 8 members, with at least two currently enrolled in high school, is eligible to apply. Every band that applies is required to play in the preliminary audition round on February 27th, 2010. Each band will play one song for the preliminary auditions and will be judged by a panel of five. The top 8 bands will advance to the Battle of the Bands event on March 3rd, 2010. The Battle of the Bands event will be open to the public and the best band will be chosen by a combination of judge scores and audience votes.



The Battle of the Bands will determine the best band throughout the Charlotte area and offer prizes to the winners that will enhance their music endeavors.

• 16 hours of recording studio time to create a professionally-recorded demo


• A one-year Onlinegigs subscription


• A $100 gift certificate from Sam Ash Music


• One song played within a Muzak program that is heard by over 100 million people everyday


• One free copy of the Battle of the Bands Video Production for personal promotional use


• 200 copies of the band’s demo produced by Muzak for the band to distribute or sell

The Muzak Heart and Soul Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to redefining and expanding the scope of music education. In order to achieve this goal, the Foundation looks to provide new and exciting ways to help kids (students) achieve their musical aspirations. By sponsoring a Battle of the Bands, the Muzak Heart & Soul Foundation is able to benefit students interested in the music industry by giving them the opportunity to be recognized as well as raise awareness for the Foundation within the community.
