Chattahippie Music Festival

The Chattahippie Music Festival will be held on 50+ acres of a beautiful waterfront venue near Chattanooga, TN. The two-day event will provide fans with an authentic, grassroots music experience, featuring over twenty artists & bands across multiple genres.



The festival is highly focused on the merits of the songwriter, and all performers will be selected based on live performance skills, musical creativity and songwriting ability. No cover bands or pop-up acts will be invited; if you or your band-mates do not write/co-write at least 95% of your material, this festival is not for you. (Hey, we all appreciate a good cover every now and then -- just not a full set of remixes).



Genres represented will strongly fall under the broad umbrella of Americana, which can include everything from folk to bluegrass, country to blues, and rock to eclectic. In general, if your music is family-friendly with strong lyrics/songwriter-driven, you may be a fit.



Chattahippie is also considering the possibility of one or two non-musical acts; if you have a unique performance suitable for entertaining festival attendees, either stage-delivered or roaming, please consider submitting. This is primarily and foremost a music festival, so please only submit if you are certain of a compelling fit.



All artists will be compensated although brackets are largely dependent upon experience & profile of artists, with factors such as prior media exposure, touring history, label/discography and general fan recognition playing a large role. Most of the headliner/closing slots will be filled through agent/label/management relationships so artists coming through Sonicbids will mostly be considered for openers or emerging artist slots. Payment for emerging artists is roughly $250-$500



There will be catering as well as limited on-site camping areas for performing artists although additional travel/lodging expenses will not be provided.



Finally, selected artists will be invited to participate in festival CD sampler to be distributed to ticketholders; bands must have a quality sound recording, proper clearance from their labels/publishers and be approved by the festival panel for appropriateness. (CD sampler participation is not mandatory.)
