Summary

Hey Sonicbids Hip Hop artists! We're looking for a local opener for our March 4th show at Subterranean (downstairs) in Chicago, IL to get the crowd hyped up for a signed Hip Hop artist originally from Philly. We haven't announced the show just yet so we can't advertise who the artist is, but you're gonna want to be a part of this. If you know anything about the Chi Hip-Hop scene, you know Subterranean has been a launching pad many artists that went on to have successful careers. 

 

The Opportunity

Subterranean features two floors of entertainment space for artists of all genres and caliber to find their audience, we've been voted one of the top 10 music venues in Chicago for many years. Though we can't disclose the name for the headliner yet, the artist is up-and-coming hip hop artist that has over 20K followers on Spotify and 2 million streams on Spotify. This is a huge opportunity to rep The Chi and build your local fanbase organically in your own backyard. Apply now, if you got what it takes, we'll make room for you on this incredible bill!

The Band

  • Looking for local hip hop artists from the Chicago, IL area 
  • Must have an online presence and be willing to promote the show through social channels
  • Must have a proven history of performing in the area 
  • Must have a very strong fan base in Chicago
  • Must have current music out, ideally, we're looking for an artist that has a new project they're promoting
  • Bands must be actively playing shows 
  • All acts applying must meet the criteria that we look for, lyrics, stage presence, style and artists must have a fanbase

The Gig

  • The Show is March 4th
  • Opening act gets 30 min 
  • Venue is equipped with most equipment but does not have a turntable.
  • Backline and PA is provided
  • A sound engineer is provided
  • DJs must bring their own
  • Artists may sell their own merch and keep 100% of the proceeds 
  • Home of Subterranean Music Hall (400) and Downstairs at Subterranean (100), the show will be downstairs
  • The opening act will receive $75 compensation.

  • Compensation Amount: Up to $75.00
