Chicago Colombian Music Festival

Don't miss your LAST CHANCE to submit to Chicago’s Colombian Music Festival, which will feature over 20 different live music events at various venues throughout the month. The festival features over 30 events for an attendance of over 10,000 people for the length of the festival.

The festival is looking to book over 20 artists, from local, regional, and touring acts coming through town. Artist compensation varies based on the artist, but artists will be able to sell their merchandise and receive 100% of the profits. The festival is looking for Colombian influenced music./n/nChicago’s Colombian Music Festival will be held on July 1st to the 30th, 2011 and will feature over twenty different live music events at various venues throughout the month. The festival features over 30 events for an attendance of over 10,000 people for the length of the festival. The festival is looking to book over 20 artists, from local, regional, and touring acts coming through town.


Artist compensation varies based on the artist, but artists will be able to sell their merchandise and receive 100% of the profits. The festival is looking for Colombian influenced music. Past shows have included Colombian Salsa/ Swing, Lumbalu, Big-band style Cumbia & Jazz, Colombian Vallenato, Afrom Colombian Percussion, Classic Cumbia, Colombian Electronica and Reggae.



Artists may be booked any day of the week, but headlining shows are on Fridays and Saturdays. Artists must be flexible for performance dates. Lodging and hospitality may be negotiated depending on the artist. but artists are responsible for their travel expenses. A sound system and a sound engineer will be provided at the venue.

The Chicago Colombian Music Festival features some of the newest and biggest names in Colombian music. This momentous event will feature five groups directly from Colombia, as well as top talent from across the U.S. and Chicago. The Chicago Colombian Festival has something for everyone. It features both traditional and contemporary Colombian music, DJ events,workshops/dance classes, and radio specials. Most events are free and family-friendly.
