The Chopin Theatre was built in 1913 and is an anchor to Chicago's vibrant Wicker Park neighborhood. In its current incarnation, the venue presents cutting edge theatre, music, film and performance throughout the year. The promoter typically books 2-4 months in advance. Compensation is a gate-split based on draw. The main stage space features bare brick walls, focused lighting and holds 150-220 people. The intimate lounge is steeped in red hues and feels like a speakeasy. It holds up to 80.


Musical performances are curated by Global Groove Chicago, which implements the Chopin’s focus on cultures from around the world, be they ethnic, jazz, blues, or some other fusion. As a policy the Chopin does not book straight up rock bands or rap. The promoter typically books 2-4 months in advance.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday beginning at 7pm
Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday beginning at 10pm


Please do not submit if: Your band's logo has lightning bolts, you have never played Chicago before or you cannot confidently draw 35+ Chicagoans to a show.
