Philadelphia Folksong Society presents Circus of Sound

Don't miss your LAST CHANCE to submit to A Circus of Sound, a nine-month musical extravaganza that takes over Philadelphia venues and features the most exciting and authentic folk artists today. The season will embrace circus themes and present concerts, workshops, kid's programs and traditional cultural events. All artists selected to perform as part of Circus of Sound will be compensated for their performance./n/nA Circus of Sound is a nine-month musical extravaganza that takes over Philadelphia venues and features the most exciting and authentic folk artists today, including The Ebony Hillbillies, Beaucoup Blue, Saul Brody, Mason Porter, Mike Agranoff, and dozens more. The season will embrace circus themes and present concerts, workshops, kid's programs and traditional cultural events, including a Mexican Centennial Celebration: Dia De Los Muertos.

PFS will select at least 2 Sonicbids artists to perform during the series. All selected artists will be compensated for their performance. 2010-2011 season Sunday concert dates are: November 7, December 5, January 9, February 13, March 13, April 10, May 8, and June 12. PFS will select artists and match up the date that works best.
