Summary
City Stages is a festival held each year in Birmingham, AL that features more than 100 artists and boasts a broad range of musical performances including rock, alternative, hip-hop, country, R&B, gospel, classical and singer-songwriter. Each year, the City Stages Junior Board holds a Battle of the Bands competition for bands throughout the Southeast region to give them a chance to perform on the main stage at City Stages!
Bands must submit their EPK to be considered. The selection committee will then narrow down the bands who submit to six finalists for the competition. The battle will take place on May 6, 2007 at Workplay in Birmingham, AL, and will be judged by music industry professionals who will score each participating band. The highest rated band of the six will win a spot to play on a main stage the weekend of City Stages in Downtown Birmingham, AL!
All genres are accepted. Any size band may submit but bands must from the Southeast in order to be eligible. Bands will not be compensated for performing.
Submissions for this once-a-year event are open on an ongoing basis and submissions are reviewed as they are received.
